The core concept behind eRA is process simplification and efficiency. The Cayuse system will consist of a set of PI-centric tools to facilitate routing, submission, budget revision and post-award activities associated with sponsored project administration.
Participants will learn how to create, complete and eliminate proposal errors in the Cayuse 424 proposal package (similar to Grants.gov proposals). Also, they will be able to understand how Cayuse 424 relates to Cayuse SP and how to link proposals within these systems. After training they should be skilled in creating subcontracts and subcontractor budgets within the 424 proposal package and add the various investigators to the people tab. These users should also be able to provide direct support to the faculty members in their units in the preparation of proposals in both Cayuse systems. Prerequisite for this course is Cayuse SP (Part 1).
