(2) Can you provide me an example to support that rating? and (3) Can you think of one change (personal, environmental, etc.) I could make that would enhance my listening at work?
Do a self – reflection exercise followed by a feedback session by using the following questions (1) What has occurred or is occurring that could be a result of ineffective listening? (2) Why is effective listening significant for my role? and (3) What would be the benefit or result(s) if my listening skills and related behavior improved? Share your responses with a trusted mentor or your supervisor and obtain his/her feedback.
